Fare data
Fare brackets come from the Travelpayouts Data API. Every Sunday at 03:00 UTC, an automated job refreshes the per-route minimum-price cache for the corridors covered by SiamFlights. Each entry is a point-in-time minimum — the lowest one-way fare available for the cheapest cabin on the most recently sold inventory, expressed in THB and USD-converted from the original offer when applicable.
We present brackets, not exact prices, because (a) inventory rolls over hourly, (b) different distribution channels see different prices, and (c) THB/USD conversion depends on the rate at fetch time. Brackets ("from ฿X,XXX" / "typical ฿X,XXX–Y,YYY") reflect the trailing four-week minimum. Routes with fewer than three observations are marked "limited data".
Schedule and route data
Three sources, priority order:
- Official airline route maps and IR filings — Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, Nok Air, Thai VietJet, Saudia, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, ANA, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, and other carriers serving Thailand.
- Thai regulators — CAAT (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand), AOT (Airports of Thailand).
- Industry trade press — IATA, AAPA, ch-aviation, route-launch announcements.
When sources disagree, regulator leads; airline claim noted as "announced, pending regulatory approval".
Hajj and Umrah data
Pilgrimage information is sourced from the Office of the Sheikh-ul-Islam (Chularatchamontri) for Thai Hajj quota administration, with cross-check against the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Nusuk platform, package categories, MOFA e-visa procedure) for destination-side rules. Pilgrim charter routes are verified against SAGIA-licensed Saudi ground-handler announcements. We do not interpret religious doctrine — we cite the Office of the Sheikh-ul-Islam or recognised scholarly references and link out.
Buddhist pilgrimage data
Information on the four Buddhist holy sites (Lumbini, Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar) is drawn from official Indian and Nepali tourism authorities — Incredible India (Ministry of Tourism), Lumbini Development Trust (Nepal), and Indian/Nepali embassy advisories in Bangkok. For Thai Buddhist holidays (Visakha Bucha, Loy Krathong, Asalha Bucha), we use the Ministry of Culture's official calendar.
Visa and consular data
Visa requirements and fees come from destination embassy or consulate websites (primary), IATA Timatic (cross-check via airline check-in interfaces), and recent (under 12 months) authoritative reporting on policy changes. Quarterly re-verification on high-volume routes; bi-annually on long tail. Every visa claim carries a "verified on" date.
Currency conventions
THB as base currency with USD shown in parentheses where useful. Format: "฿X,XXX" with the standard baht symbol. Conversions use the Bank of Thailand reference rate at the fare-fetch timestamp. We do not embed live currency widgets — the rate shown is the rate at fetch time.
Update cadence
- Weekly — Travelpayouts fare refresh (Sundays 03:00 UTC).
- Monthly — Editorial freshness sweep on pillars. Price deltas >15% trigger re-verification.
- Quarterly — Visa and consular data re-verification on high-volume routes.
- Bi-annually — Long-tail visa data; minor-airline schedules.
"Last verified" stamp — what it means
The "Last verified" date reflects when the data sources behind a specific page were last cross-checked. We do not bump the date for cosmetic edits, internal-link additions, or unrelated changes — only when an editor has re-confirmed at least the fare bracket and one external policy claim.
Corrections policy
Material errors get a public, dated correction note at the top of the affected article. Email [email protected]; corrections within 48 hours. Substantive corrections (wrong visa fee, wrong airport fee, wrong fare range by >20%) keep a dated note indefinitely.

What this methodology does NOT cover
We do not produce live booking quotes. We do not offer visa-processing services. We do not sell Hajj/Umrah packages — those are the role of licensed operators.
